About us

MKE Services Limited has 30 years of experience in the design and manufacturing industry. Our focus on temporary safety systems for work at height provide industry standard compliance with British Standards regulations for edge protection in the construction and haulage industries. A unique product incorporating telescopic rails provides temporary safety systems for concrete edge protection, stair edge protection, vehicle fall prevention and structural steel construction. Fall prevention whilst working at height is our primary concern.

Design

Our design department has a wealth of experience gained from working in the highly demanding Aerospace and Automotive Industries. We now bring these stringent working practices and quality standards to the construction and haulage industries with engineering solutions that are expertly designed to meet and exceed your specific project requirements.

Engineering

Whether solving technical challenges or developing innovative engineering solutions, we approach each project with the same proven scientific and technical principles – from the initial design stage through to final production, our approach delivers performance, quality and consistency with all the products we manufacture.

Manufacture

All of our products are manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 approved facility utilising Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques pioneered in the Automotive industry. This is the benchmark for quality control in all professional mass production environments and it’s an industry standard that reflects our approach to engineering.

Testing

All of our products are rigorously tested on an ongoing basis to exceed the relevant BS EN performance requirements. Where no such standards currently exist, we take a pragmatic view – by considering requirements that may be applicable in the future, we test to exceed those specifications. For instance, our Trailersafety Systems are tested to BS EN 13374 (Temporary Edge Protection for our posts and rails), our telescopic stagings are tested to BS 2037 Class 1 (Lightweight Stagings with a SWL of 270kgs) and the accompanying height adjustable stairs are fully compliant with BS EN 1004:2004 (Stairway Class A)

Innovation

Our aim is to provide solutions that are easier to install and safer to use than existing ‘traditional’ methods. Our Stairsafety systems are far quicker to install than even using assorted lengths of timber and temporarily nailing them to newel posts – more importantly our systems are fully compliant with all current regulations and are completely reconfigurable and reusable, making them not just safer but much more cost effective in the long term. Ultimately our innovative approach means we currently hold a number of significant engineering patents – with more pending and soon to be granted!
